In recent years, our collective emotional wellbeing has taken a hit; the pandemic, global conflict, the toxicity of social media. Yet there's still a real lack of accessible tools to help people manage it. VITTION was born as a design-led answer to that gap: a mobile app that helps users manage and improve their emotional state through immersive audiovisual sessions, tailored to each person's needs for a genuinely personalised therapeutic experience.

From Symptom to Sensation

Before animating a single frame, each emotion had to be translated into a visual language. The process started by breaking down the real symptoms of each emotional state, then identifying the positive counter-effect needed to shift it; calming an anxious mind, or lifting a low one. From there, colour was assigned using principles of colour psychology and chromotherapy, refined until no two emotions sent the same visual signal.

The result is a simple three-part code that defines every animation: colour, movement and form. Emotions that need calming move slowly and take organic, rounded shapes; emotions that need lifting move fast and take sharper, geometric ones; the invisible logic that makes each animation feel intentional, not just decorative.

Users can access the full animation library anytime, take a daily test to receive a personalised animation, learn more about each emotion, and track their progress — available on iOS and Android.

Grounded in Expert Care

VITTION's daily check-in adapts the Subjective Wellbeing Scale, provided by Josep Medina Casanoves, Director of the Institut Guttman. Conversations with the Institut's medical team validated the concept and helped shape where it could go next; including recognising emotional patterns and connecting users with real support.

Projected Into Everyday Life

Every format shares the same logic: the animation fills the background, with a semi-transparent silhouette overlaid on top; as if it were being projected onto a wall in real life. A bold headline states the problem, a smaller line offers the solution, and access details sit quietly below.

The campaign spans four urban formats: static citylights with an AR scan code to view the animation in motion, dynamic digital citylights and mall banners that play it directly, and roadside billboards built for a single glance.

The guerrilla activation meets people in the exact moment they need it — on the objects already in their hands during moments of stress.

  • Students, fuelled by caffeine through exam season → coffee cups.

  • Commuters, stuck staring at traffic → the back of buses.

  • Anyone unwinding at the gym → water bottles.

Each object becomes the first invitation to try VITTION, right when it matters most.
